The Zoo!

The zoo membership has turned out to be one of our best investments! We spent a sunny, very cold Sunday morning wandering around the different areas, covering our favorite exhibits and a few rare ones, including the indoor tropical rain forest and the food pavilion (for coffee & cookies) :).

The picture before is of Lucy yelling "get up" at the top of her lungs to the sleeping gorillas below...Lucy LOVES all of the bronze animals, but especially the baby elephant...What does an elephant say?...Lucy has this habit of rubbing Adam's ears when she sits on his shoulders - actually, it is probably more accurate to say she gouges his ears with her fingernails...Side story - The indoor tropical rain forest is one of those exhibits where you have to park your stroller outside. Right before we went in, we saw a squirrel steal a ziploc full of goldfish crackers from a stroller. Adam told me to grab our crackers, & I foolishly thought that putting them up top would be safe. When we got out, our crackers were gone too. :)
