Lucy can now add San Diego to her list of travel destinations (which also includes Italy, Hawaii, & Philadelphia). She is an easy traveler (Auntie Joia's DVD player definitely helped), but it was certainly not a relaxing vacation, particularly for Adam who had to spend most of his time chasing her down at Sea World, at the airport, on the beach...
Lucy found it relaxing however...

That spot on our hotel balcony turned out to be one of her favorites...

DAY 1 - We flew into San Diego around 1:00, and didn't let a few wind gusts stop us from immediately heading to Mission Beach and boardwalk...

Daddy started his
Burrito-palooza by stopping for California Burritos (made with french fries!)at Santana's for lunch. By the end of the trip, he had eaten 6 burritos and yes, I slept with Lucy the last night...

The day ended with dinner in the Gaslamp District & frozen yogurt at Pinkberry...

Lucy got her own queen bed all to herself. She did pretty well, except for the late bed times and one surprise fall out of bed...thump...

DAY 2 - Sea World!!

Daddy & Lucy made sure to stock up on treats for the Shamu show (cold beer for dad & cotton candy for Lucy - and yes, it was only 11am!)...

We sat in the Soak Zone, but never got wet. We did however, get extremely uneven sunburns...

Lucy loved the dolphins most of all...

She also thoroughly enjoyed chasing the baby ducks around the park...

The Sesame Street section was a big hit. I got kicked off the kiddie rides, but Lucy & daddy sure had fun! Adam had the spinning ride going faster than everyone else!...

After chasing Lucy through this endless maze in the sky, Adam was questioning his decision to travel with a toddler and 7 1/2 mos preggers wife...

Lucy fell in love with every stuffed animal she saw and felt the need to hug each and every one...

We gave in and bought her "Dolly Dolphin" which she cuddled for 3 minutes before she crashed on the walk home to the hotel. Adam pushed the stroller while I breathed through one contraction after another...

We ended the day in La Jolla, eating at Wahoo, another burrito joint!...

DAY 3 - We ditched Legoland in favor of the hotel pool and another half day at Sea World...
The 90th time down the water slide...

The water is warm, but the air is so cold with the wind blowing! Let's go back to Sea World...

I can't believe how big this place is. We even managed to see exhibits we didn't see on day 1

Cold beer again for dad and popsicles for Lucy...

Okay, mommy got a popsicle this time too...

Daddy was SO excited to see the Sea Lion show, but it turned out to be a bit of a bust...

We ended our trip to San Diego with a visit to Fashion Valley. Lucy fit right in, chatting on her cell phone the whole time. For some reason, her favorite saying was "my mommy is mad"....

and "one minute"...

Good-bye San Diego!
