Exploring Fort Warden

Who knew 12 years ago when we were partying at Fort Warden (in Port Townsend) for Theta Chi Red OX, that Adam and I would be back exploring the beach and forts one day with our kids!? No keg stands around the fire pit or midnight excursions to the bunkers, but certainly a lot of fun with our own rowdy crew!

Just as we were making a comment about how great it was that Owen doesn't eat sand, he took his first crunchy bite...

And he was hooked...Lucy had fun playing dragons and swords/sticks...Owen had fun playing with dolls!??

Lucy was more adventurous than her mom, wanting to go into every dark hideaway...Owen's infamous wave cracks us up...Oops - maybe we should've read the sign before we let our 3 year old and 11 month old run around this "hazardous area"...Lucy and I ran back and forth on the WINDY ferry deck 31 times!...
