You know it is a fun and successful camping trip when you are already trying to plan the next one right when you get back! Here are just a few highlights of our camping trip to Lake Sylvia (near Montesano) with the McPs, McPs, Walkers, and Pereas:
* Pink marshmallow s'mores! (the girls out number the boys in this group)
* Mommy time (with US Weekly mags) while the dads took the kids on a "hike"
* A good old fashioned game of "I never" after the kids went to bed
* Grandma Sandy & Papa's HUGE tent that fit a double Aero bed, a pack n play, Lucy's blow up Princess bed, 4 bags, and room to spare!
* A McPherren gourmet menu of crab cakes, salmon, pancakes and sausage (I guess the Poorts need to step it up next year)
* Doritos, Donuts, and Dum Dums galore!
* Not even attempting to clean up a dirt coated Owen
* Princess fishing poles (again, a group dominated by girls)
* How easy it was to get 9 kids to sleep in tents
* Good friends, lots of laughter, and kids who love to play together
